A Louisville native, single mom of two boys, Jessica was raised alongside two brothers and one sister by loving parents, Daryl and Diane Metcalf. 

 

A union household, Jessica’s dad, a member of Teamsters 89, worked at A&P and Fischer’s. Her brother, a union employee, works at Kroger’s and JCPS.

She attended Sacred Heart Academy and duPont Manual High School / Youth Performing Arts School.  While Jessica participated and excelled in athletics, her passion was always ballet.  Jessica began dancing corps de ballet roles with the Louisville Ballet at thirteen.  At sixteen, Jessica moved to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, lived with a host family, and trained at the prestigious Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
